Clay loves our city and served eight years on the Jacksonville City Council, his final year as President of the 19-member body. After serving at the local level, he pursued a seat in the State Legislature, was elected, and currently serves in the Florida House representing Jacksonville’s Southside and Fort Caroline areas. The son of a public educator, Clay’s priorities include making our schools and city as safe as possible, supporting economic growth and development (including for our port), and working on proactive transportation solutions.

Clay and his wife, Jordan, have twin six-year old sons, a two-year-old son, and are expecting their fourth son in January 2019.
